Nepenthes viking is a bold and eye-catching tropical pitcher plant, best known for its squat, globular pitchers that resemble tiny Viking helmets. The pitchers are often deep red to burgundy, sometimes striped or speckled, with wide peristomes that make them stand out dramatically against their green foliage. Emerging from tissue culture, this plant starts as a compact rosette producing miniature but striking pitchers that already showcase its unique, round-bodied form.

Key Features:

  • Grow Cup: 5cm x 7cm in size with a small nepenthes.

  • Vibrant Colouration: Ranges from green with red accents to solid burgundy under strong light, adding rich contrast to any collection.

  • Compact Growth: Naturally forms rosettes with pitchers close to the ground, making it excellent for terrariums or small displays.

Growing Conditions:

  • Light: Thrives in bright, indirect light. Strong light enhances red coloration but avoid scorching direct sun.

  • Water: Use only distilled, rain, or reverse osmosis water. Keep the soil evenly moist but well-drained.

  • Temperature: Prefers warm lowland to intermediate conditions, ideally 24–30°C. Avoid drops below 18°C.

  • Humidity: High humidity (70–90%) is essential for maintaining healthy growth and vivid pitcher development.
