Dionaea muscipula ‘Kinky Wave’ is a distinctive Venus flytrap cultivar known for its dramatically ruffled trap margins and playful, twisting growth habit. Instead of the straight, symmetrical lobes seen in typical flytraps, ‘Kinky Wave’ produces traps with wavy, curled edges that give the plant a sculptural, almost animated appearance. Under strong light the traps colour to shades of pink-red internally, contrasting beautifully with the bright green exterior. Hardening Process

1. Remove ‘Kinky Wave’ from the cup and rinse all nutrient gel from the roots and leaves using purified water.

2. Pot into a carnivorous plant mix (peat + perlite/sand).

3. Place under a clear dome or humidity cover and vent gradually over 1–2 weeks (longer if needed).

4. Move to normal growing conditions once new growth is firm and adapting well.
